also, i dont see legislating marriage between a man&a woman is right either. Marriage is about love, not about procreation of the species or even doing what the Bible says you should do. its about 2 consenting adults making a commitment to each other to love,respect each other etc etc and to remain faithful to each other. who cares if 2 guys or 2 ladies want to get married? straight couples being married up&down on my street have no impact on my marriage so why would i care if gay/lesbian couples want to get married? like i said, dont push your morals or ethics on anyone else, and we will all get along Nice moral communication there. In the end, you are once again ignoring science and medical facts and just useing emotions. Something that you are accusing others of doing. Your examples are all strawmen and really sloppy debates. i get a kick out of why you think God needs you or anyone else to speak for him/her, its so easy to tell people what God believes when you interpret the bible to say what u want it to say in order to justify your means.
abortion&gay marriage is not about religion or moral or ethical values, its about peoples free will to make decisions they think are best for themselves. And as far as the question of who the fetus belongs to PRIOR to birth, thats an easy one: its mother.
so please stop pushing your religious views on everyone else, i think america in general is getting tired of this practice and just wishes you would worship in your own way, believe what you want, pray as often as you want&just leave everyone else alone. | |
