Some decent arguments were made in the past over consoles.  Im a 360 person so I dont really pay attention to the PS3 so I'll start with what I feel is a signifigant step in the console wars.

Its official.  You'll be able to watch streaming netflix movies on the XBOX 360.  Netflix said it will increase its streaming flix quite a bit.  That along with Final Fantasy XIII (use to be PS exclusive)  being released on the 360 seems pretty major to me.

Comments?

FFXIII is coming to the 360 only in NA&europe, FFXIII versus is still a PS3 exclusive. cant blame SE for wanting to widen the reach of the game, i am very very curious if they are gonna have to put it on 3 discs or so. Geow 2 looks great, wont buy a 360 for it but i want to play it for sure. seft admitted sony fanboy, but good lord does Killzone 2 look so freakin amazing. must own for any FPS fan out there.......

yeah i dont know jason, PC gaming seems to be stagnating a little. you are already starting to see MMOs heading for consoles, i say in 10 yrs PC gaming might become a niche only segment of the gaming industry which is sad. its all about the living room nowadays as far as gaming goes unfortunately

I must respectfully disagree. Most console games are PC games ported over. PC gaming still leads the way in graphics and game depth. Since more people have PCs than console machines, I believe PC gaming will outlive consoles. The backward capability functionality has helped out console machines, but PCs will always be able to do more. The console machines are nothing more than toned down computers anyways. The new version of DirectX is amazing, consoles have nothing on that for graphics potential. Join the quad-core cult!

Im beta testing Warhammer right now.  Cant say anything about it atm.  Ive been a MMORPG gamer for about 10 years.  Also jsut been a PC gamer as well.  Basically taught me how to build computers  PC games are incredible but about a year ago I bought my 360 and started console gaming again mainly for my sports fix.

Dont really know where Im going with this but gaming on all platforms is just amazing these days.  Im having a blast with technology and just waiting for the 3D technology to hit.  I saw a demo a few years back at a gaming show and it was nuts.  Looked like the stuff was coming out of hte monitor.

PC gaming is not dead. However I believe in the future I think game distribution will change from the model they have today.

Companies will start using more programs like STEAM to release their software and save on the overhead costs that come with the brick and mortar stores. Also smaller developers will be able to market more games since they can save those costs. This will also help cut down piracy.

Valve and Blizzard will probably be more console friendly, now that they have more of the same resources as a PC. But I think they will stay true to their PC roots.

SWG grabbed me in Jan 04 and now I can't seem to shake MMOs. I am playing COH off and on now. I have heard rumors of CoX for consol.

An EA exec sort of confirmed the KOTOR MMO. I think G4 has an MMO special tommorow night from E3. I can't wait to find out more about it, as I am Star Wars Die Hard.

I am thinking of getting a 360 though. The netflix thing is huge, and Force Unleashed looks like it will be filled with creamy goodness!

I haven't gotten into MMO games yet becuase I know I would get addicted and my wife would never see me again...........lol

I bought a PS3 about two months ago and love it. I'm a big have of GT5 and Haze. Just picked up Resistance fall of man on greatest hits.

The mulitmedia capabilities of the PS3 outshine the xbox. I love getting blu ray from netflix. The netflix streaming to xbox wont be that awesome unless they improve the quality (right now netflix streaming looks horrible).

Games I am looking forward to the most are LIttle Big Planet and Ghostbusters (cross platform).

Looks my Wii is going to collect more and more dust after this E3.

I bought my first computer back in 2000, before that I used WebTv for my internet addiction. I played Diablo then Diablo 2. Then I tried out SWG and got hooked on MMO. But then SWG became lame when the introduced Jedi to everyone. Then I made the switch to W.O.W. in 2004 and have been playing it ever since. But console games just don't bring the pizzaz as MMO games do. And I have heard of a rumor that WoW will be available to console users in the future. But for the time being I think computer gaming has the advantage over console gaming.
