Wasn't Maui Waui supposed to be open already? Does anyone have any details?  I would love a smoothie place here and an anxious to see if they are as yummy as Jamba Juice.

Thanks.

Last I recall reading was the opening was pushed back until July but don't quote me on that. I don't know what the hold up is but can only imagine how frustrating this must be for the owners. This town certainly doesn't seem to be very small business friendly. Hopefully they'll be a huge success when they finally do open.

The delays aren't Maricopa based they are corporate based.

Wow, that's a shame. Isn't MW a franchise? That's a big investment just to have it sit idle all this time. I've never been to one but will certainly be happy for the owners to see this one finally open. Guess I'll be forced to put my money where my mouth is too and make sure to support a local business.

I was in that shopping center this last week and when I drove by it, the sign is up (a fancy looking one) and looks ready to go, but when I glanced in the store itself, it was empty.  Sooo, I don't know what to think.  It's opening has been delayed so many times that I guess I'll believe it when I see it!

You and me both....last I heard they were waiting for a major machine to be delivered and the shop needs to be built around it...

I can't wait till its open and I'm sure the owners feel the same way...

I thought I saw the sign up too as I was driving by and saw it quickly from 347. It was very exciting. It shouldn' t be too long now.

Not sure. No work at all appears to be happening. And I'm pretty sure that the owner is stocking bread shelves at Fry's now. Hopefully, there is hope!

They are still working on the opening.  It has been one piece or red tape after another.

But I assure you that they have every intention of opening as soon as they can.

I looked in the window the other day.  There were some cleaning supplies there, but they haven't even ripped up the floor for the floor drains or run now electric for the coffee makers yet.

I feel so bad for Amy! This red tape must be costing them a lot of money! How frustrating.

I'd kill a man for a good smoothie in this heat.

I was at Jack in the Box today and they are now selling smoothies. I didn't buy one so have no idea how they taste but you might go there Quadstriker before going to jail for murder.

The Jack ones are nasty and they serve them in plastic cups so they melt fast.

What ever happened with this establishment? Are we getting it or not? Just wondering...

Mmmmm....I would probably say no. They blame all of the Maricopa red tape but I can't believe red tape takes over a year before a business can open up.
