The biggest problem with the lights is they were installed on the wrong side of the street. Most street lights are not on the side of the driver who is looking at them, they are on the opposite side. MUCH easier to see. Once I cross that line if it turns yellow or red while I am still waiting for traffic to go straight and I am I'm making a left hand turn, people behind me are already in the intersection on a red light while the other light is green and they don't know it because we can no longer see the light.

This really needs to be fixed. I have counted 5 times now that I have almost been hit at that intersection. The other was when a woman turned right on red when she didn't see me coming from so far back and almost hit my front bumper. The other was when on a green light someone coming out of Senita just blew through the red light altogether to turn left.

This, I agree... with time, people should get used to it..

I agree with the positioning issue as well. I will continue to follow up with the city on this.

OK, I will admit when I am wrong, the light was there so AzSandSlinger, explain something to me. If the light was there and functioning, then why would all the cars coming out of Senita not be stopped if their light was red? Was the light turned on? Was the timing off? Were both lights green? Do you know?
That was the point! I dont care if there are 20 lights there.

They put new signs up saying NO TURNING RIGHT ON RED hopefully people will start to read them, they are kind of small. I have seen people go though them but maybe they are just used to not seeing them there.

What about the idiots that turn right into oncoming traffic when the light turns green as if there is an green arrow for them. Do they turn that easily in front of someone at any other traffic light. Sometimes you just want to beat the S#%t out of dumb driver's.

BMW--yeah, I noticed the lights the next time I drove down Honeycutt  I still don't quite understand how people crossing the street know when the lights are changing...I haven't done a real inspection, but just from driving past it doesn't look like there's any kind of pedestrian signals? It is definitely weird how the lights are set up, but then again, i've never seen temp lights before this...
