The photo cameras only show so much. Someone should set up shop with a video camera, so there's no denying it when the actual footage is shown.

Huh? CG?

I agree with the video camera idea... I don't judge their whole job just by the way they're driving, I just think it is very wrong of them to abuse rights which are only given to them for use in times of an EMERGENCY!!!

While I don't agree with it... it's a tactic they usually use to see if you'll do some aggressive maneuver and such. MPD is not the only one's that do this, I've seen tucson, marana, tempe, and chandler PD's do it also. Also, I had about 10 different cops do it to me in Gallop, NM. Though I think something else was going on there... they had any 'fast' appearing vehicle pulled over for anything. I wasn't speeding or doing anything, and was being overly cautious to not give them a reason to pull me over seeing as there was a crack down or something. Didn't help I was in a lowered G35 at the time... :/

Ultimately I try to give the benefit of the doubt, yield to them, and let them do their job. Some calls require them to run silent and without lights... so if they're speeding there is a chance they might be doing it legit. Also, if they pull you over and you don't agree with it, that's fine. When they ask you to sign the paper, sign it. It's not saying you accept what the ticket is saying (speeding, tailgating, liter, whatever), it's simply a signature that acknowledges you have received the citation. If you have an issue with it or the officer, settle it in court, not on the road.

The only time I was ever pulled over was in shiny new 2002 camaro SS, going 80 in a 75, when a dodge pickup had just FLEW by me.  He had to have been going at least 90.  Yes sir, I was speeding. I won't argue with that, but SERIOUSLY!?  I was so stinking mad about that.  He totally picked on me because of the car.
