That MPD always seem to tailgate.  Are they trying to make the car in front speed?  Just curious since I had one do this to me this morning since I was the only car going south on the 347 at 6am.  3 lanes and this one clown rushed up behind me to ride my bumper.  I had thoughts of slamming on my brakes so my tow hitch would be not so gently placed in his radiator but I didnt.  This isnt the first time this has happened to me and Im sure Im not the only one.  I wasnt speeding or doing anything wrong, whats the deal?  Anyone else notice this habit of theirs?

They're probably just running your plates.

If he has to be a foot off my rear bumper to run my plates, we have a serious problem. Well, maybe that explains why MPD misses so much around this community. Theyre blind.

Yeah, they like to ride my butt also. I have actually taken pictures of them before with my camera phone. When I take the picture they always back off my butt.

Maybe next time I WILL brake check them and then take pics of their totalled car and my barely scratched bumper. That will be a great 85239.com top story.

That's a good idea...I can't believe I didn't think of it.  What sucks is twice this weekend I had cops on my butt and one of the times I was in the slow lane!!  It is time I start pulling out my camera phone again and snapping photos.

I'm curious what is about some people that makes them so much more attractive to the poliice? I literally NEVER have the police following me. Especially closely. I think I understand why BBT has issues.....richard cranium syndrome. But what about you ghost?

AlanF, I've got your richard cranium syndrome right here. I didnt do a damn thing last time MPD wanted so irritate me. I was minding my own business at 6 am on a Sunday morning while draggin my bike to Motoland down by Casa Grande. I wasnt speeding, I had my seatbelt on, my stereo wasnt blasting.... I was just drivin down the 347. Maybe if you pulled your head out of your rear end you'd see what really goes on around this corrupt town. I wish the home prices hadnt taken a dump cuz I woulda been outa this place long ago but like most people, Im stuck here in this wonderful place with idiots like you. Some of us just dont put up with being harrassed or intimidated by overpaid rentacops that guys like me used to beat up in high school. Maybe you should read some other posts about what the MPD is up to. Im still amazed that they still havent done anything about my house being vandalized even though they know who did it. Dont we pay these clowns salary? Im fairly sure I do. Where I work, if you screw around and dont get the job done, I get to FIRE you. I'd love to fire the little fat drew carey lookin POS that pulled me over last time. He was wrong, I didnt sign the ticket and he tossed it in my vehicle then threatened to taser me when I asked him WTH his problem was, I was nice to him before he acted like a child and I have witnesses that watched the entire thing. I'd love to fire the 2 idiots that came to my house when it was vandalized. Asked me if I did it. Yea, I did it. GTF off my driveway idiots. If you ever bother to waste your time to file a complaint against any of the idiots for their behavior, guess what. You get ridiculed by their supervisor. Why do we pay their salary again? Alan, maybe next time you wont be so quick to make a BS judgement about something you have no idea about.

They are always riding my bumper too...

They don't need to be that close to run your plates. I wonder if they think that just because I have a Jordan sticker on my back window I would have a stolen vehicle or a warrant. First the sherrifs used to do this a few years back and now the MPD is doing it. I am gonna brake check em next time, I need a new truck anyways...

They did the same think to me on Smith Enke. My friend was in the car in the next lane and even she remarked that they were trying to get me to speed.

i had a MPD motorcycle speed up to my bumper on Smith Enke Westbound in the 35 MPH zone.  i looked down at my speedometer to check my speed.  there was a car next to me so i couldn't let him by.  well, he flips on his lights and i slowed down so i could pull over but he gunned it past me at break neck speed!  he must have been doing 80!!!  I found him up the road getting set to radar people going East and had parked himself in the entrance to the Villages!!!  I honked as i went by and he shook his head at me...

It actually seems funny to see one of their cars doing the speed limit or without their lights on.

I've only had them tailgate me once. I was leaving town to clean my Grandma's house, run errands, etc. early on a Saturday morning. This cop tailgated from Porter & Smith- Enke to around the bridge on Smith-Enke. He had ample time to pass after it went to two lanes. Maybe he was just trying to see if he could get me to go over 35, since he passed around where it turned to 45? Who knows. I guess there weren't enough other people up that early for him to pick on.

Well, I grew up in west Phoenix and I'm all for them being vigilant and not letting Maricopa turn into a ghetto. And I think that overall, they seem to be doing a good job. Let's just watch our driving, eh coppers?

So your defending these clowns? Its clear that they do what they please around here. I wonder if we should start documenting everything and hand it over to the AZRepublic and see if they'll investigate our corrupt little town.

Well I do have to say, I give alot of credit to our Police Dept. They have a hard job and they don't always get the credit for what they deserve. We like to point out the worst in others instead of showing appreciation. And I do see some of the tactics the do, but remember there is always a reason behind someones motives whether it is good or bad.

I appreciate that we have a strong police force but they shouldn't have to start intimidating people to get them to do something out of nervousness (is that even a word?) to be able to cite them. That is just wrong.

Since I work out of my car, I cannot tell you how many times I have seen officers from everywhere flash their lights for no reason what so ever. I've seen them turn on their lights at a red light just so they don't have to wait and then seen the same officer pull into a fast food parking lot with his other buddies for lunch. I am not saying that every cop does this, but there are a lot who abuse the fact.

I agree that their driving tactics need some serious work. I'm just saying I don't want to judge them on the rest of their job if I can't see anything wrong with it. I really think that people should just start calling in the cars that are driving recklessly. I imagine if the supervisors heard enough complaints, that they would have to do something about it.
