Alert | Posted By hastings1066 on 08/06/2008 11:19 AM BOB You are definitely toting the pary line as far as I can see. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BOB, from your above quoted post it seems that you are opposed to people who are "toting the party line". If that is so then I am sure that you are not an Obama supporter. If you check the Congressional Quarterly rankings, which track the votes of each member of Congress, you will find that Obama is the most loyal Democrat and partisan member in the Senate. The numbers do not lie, he votes the party line more than any other Senator. There is nothing wrong with that, he is just a loyal Democrat doing what loyal party members do. With these facts in existence, for him to pretend that he is some kind of different politician, is dishonest. He is a run of the mill liberal Democrat, and if thats what you want then by all means vote for him. However, if you are opposed to those who, in your words are "toting the party line", you should be looking for a third party candidate. Hastings, asugirl posted; "Thanks for the reminder, yet again, of why I am not a Democrat, lol" and followed with; Yeah, so do I, and believe me, if a better Democratic candidate came along I might vote for him/her if I agreed with them on major issues. Based on her postings, I just don't believe she would ever allow herself to ever agree with a Democratic candidate. Myself, I happen to agree with Senator Obama's stance on Iraq, my idea of proclaiming "mission accomplished" would be displaying Bin Laden's head on a platter followed by NEXT! IMO we had absolutely no business going into Iraq before taking care of business in Afghanistan. I also agree with Senator Obama's energy plan and his support for our vets. Furthermore, I definitley believe McCain would only bring us a third Bush term. McCain had my vote 8 years ago, before he became Bush's sock puppet. Bush got my vote 4 years ago, and BUBBA Clinton got my vote both of his terms. I have never bought in to this Democrat nor Republican till death do us part crap. I am also realistic enough to know that voting on a third party candidate would equate to nothing more than not voting. I want to be able to bitch about what is going down! Not voting would negate me of that privilege would it not? ps, you posted; With these facts in existence, for him to pretend that he is some kind of different politician, is dishonest. Show me an honest one!.

Alert | Hick responding here...
Sorry I don't live in a trailer. I also do not agree with a lot of what Mccain has said and done, especially his amnesty bill. The only reason I am voting for him is for the possibility of this president appointing more supreme court justices. I couldn't imagine the garbage we would be stuck with if Hussein won... Kinda like the ones we are stuck with know who tried to get rid of our second amendment. | | All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing. --Edmund Burke

Alert | Obama is so far out in left field that he is out of the stadium. As for McCain, I have little trust in him on taxes and illegal immigration. I do see jhalls point about the Supreme Court, but , all things considered, I will be going with a third party option for the first time. I know that it will be a wasted vote as far as deciding who the next President will be, but if enough of us go third party, it will send a message to the Dems and Reps that business as usual has to end. I am just tired of voting for the lesser of two evils. At least I will be able to proudly state that I did not vote for the - INSERT BAD WORD- no matter who wins.

I am not surprised that you don't understand my post; it is in English, after all, a difficult language, I know. As I already said, I am Republican for a reason, because I agree with most things that they do. I agree with very few of the Democrats' beliefs, so why would I vote Democrat? That is not "toting" the "pary" line, as you said. That is logic.

?Entonces sabes Espanol? lol!!!
asugrl, it is good to see that you find such great comfort in constantly reminding yourself that you are college educated. .....BRAVO!!!! I am guessing that you are still a student or a recent grad based on the fact that most people grow out of that "I know everything" phase after a few years in the work force. OBW, here in the southwest Spanish as a second language can be very useful if your heart and your head are in the right place.
