I didn't read into where anyone said competition would be bad. Looks like a "cover your ass or risk losing it" statement. While most of the time having insurance is like throwing money out the window, when you need it you justify every penny paid. I wouldn't risk losing everything to make $120.
Unfortunately EVERYTHING is made expensive because someone sue happy may try to get rich off an ACCIDENT. America would be a better, cheaper and more enjoyable place if everyone carried insurance on themselves for accidents and unforeseen circumstances as opposed to business owners needing to pay loads of money for insurance. Then the citizen could decide his own risk factor and take personal responsibility for their decisions as opposed to the "if they screw up I'll own them" mentality that is running rampant these days. The price will varry on what vehicle they need to take (they have a mini van, a 12 passenger and a larger "party bus"). You can call and they will give you a quote for how much it will cost. They will drop you off and then pick you up at a certian time. They also do trips around Copa for really reasonable prices, great for when you've had a little too much to drive home! | | | |

I've also heard that they have a liquor permit that allows you to BYOB in a cooler so you can drink on the way to and from. But I'm not positive on that, you may want to call and check. Alert | The maricopa Stagecoach does do that, but you do have to give them some notice. they normally have one driver and one on call unless there is something planned. So you have to schedule it a head of time.

You can't take bottles i believe and no hard liquor either i don't think. but beer in a can is fine. I have used them quite a few times and it only $7 to catch a ride from RED. prices are different from each division though. However, rides are free to NNY on Fri and Sat nights! | | | |

Alert | There is an awesome shuttle service here in town "Maricopa Stagecoach" I have used them several times locally and out of town. It is a locally owned company and the drivers are very down to earth and respectful "Get out and open the door" kind of stuff for you. They have a local charge if they pick you up at your house and take you to one of our local bars and they also run into Temp and Scottsdale. Dont quote me on the prices but I want to say that to Tempa is around $35 to $40 each way and to Scottsdale its around $65 to $70 each way but the cool part of it is you can drink while they drive.It's the whole pre-party thing. Drink out of your own cooler before you have that big bar tab. I prefer to use them since it might cost you a few bucks but it's a lot cheaper than a DUI. They have a couple different size shuttles and I want to say that the large bus will hold up to 12 people so if you break it down from Copa to Scottsdale you are looking at $15.00 per person.
The main thing that I have to stress since I am a frequent shuttler if that is a word is to tip the drivers. They will walk you to your door and make sure that you are homesafe andsound and I know that when they have taken my wife and her friends out I want to make sure that they are in good hands.

Alert | JasonY, do you realize that if you were to do something like this and you have an accident and injure anyone that you could potentially be held responsible for all the injuries. Neither your Auto or Home insurance would cover you in this situation since you are accepting $ for a service. Anytime that you accept $, you are operating as a business. There are some ins. companies that won't even insure pizza deliivery drivers, let a lone this type of thing.
