I got a letter in the mail that transcend Broadband is now offering Copa residents Internet and unlimited telephone calls in the U.S. for only $69.99 a month.

Yeah, I thought it was a good deal too. I called & scheduled them.
They couldn't install as I have a 2 story blocking the view of their tower. I was very disappointed.

I ended up with Orbitel and am "supposed" to have a bill of 67.94 a month for both Internet & phone. So far (about a week) they are working great. Much better than our previous services. So, we shall see.

I use them. Unfortunately they are a line of sight service. However with my two story it was not a problem. I just got the Internet service only ($49) as they could not get enough signal for the phone. I like it a bunch better then MBB.

I'll let you know my review next week. I get installed on Tuesday.

I live deep in hidden valley about 12 miles from town as the crow flys.

We've had it for three weeks now in Hidden Valley - BB and the digital phone. We absolutely love it. Our upload and download speeds are very good. I especially needed decent UL speed because I run a very busy internet business. We live 17 miles southwest of Maricopa. Transcend Broadband was extremely surprised that we get such excellent reception as the tower is off Papago Road. and we are about 7 1/2 miles southwest of that. We are up high enough that the little dish on top of the house is right in the line of sight.

I just did a speed test a couple minutes ago - DL 6945 kb/s, UL 2441 kb/s.

Proud conservatives happily living on our acreage in the beautiful mountains of Hidden Valley with no HOA.

Ok the transcend broadband installer came over this morning. And he jumped up on my single story roof and gave us the bad news. We do not have a line of sight to the signal tower. So if you are planning on getting Transcend and you live in a single story home, you may be S.O.L.

We got it hooked up, and it is everything that I could have hoped for. However it has been down pretty much every other day. On Friday I called them up from a long outage in the morning and they said that the tower was down. I haven't had a problem since though.
