Beautiful school! Of course the night was chaotic. My family was sitting in the hallway during the ribbon cutting ceremony but, despite no listing for special education students of where to go, we did find his classroom. His teacher is fabulous and I think it will be a great year!

The ribbon cutting ceremony was nice and sweet. Too bad the microphone didn't work. A very energetic night. A beautiful school with great landscaping. Way to go MUSD!!!!

I agree that the ceremony was nice.  I think it was a little long for a room full of kids but overall very nice to see.  the school is very nice and I think it will be a good year.

The only issue I have with the school is that there is no crosswalk across Honeycutt for kids coming from Senita.  I was planning on having my child walk to school but dont really think that is safe now with out one.  I asked the Superintendent and he said he wants one but needs the City's approval.

lets all cross our fingers we get one.  I plan on putting in a call or two suggesting that they need one.  I don't think we want any kids crossing that road as busy as it is in the morning and afternoon,

Yes, very nice cermony and school!

I agree with alcaran about the lack of a crosswalk being a big concern! I was shocked when I learned that there would be no crosswalk, crossing guard, school zone signs nor light across Honeycutt. I cannot believe that at the least they don't have a school zone sign so that people will have to slow down. This is a big safety issue! I have already placed some calls with no resolve...hopefully a bunch of parents will complain and something will be done! I just pray that no one is hurt crossing Honeycutt before they step up and do something about this.

I know this might sound stupid, but they are offering busing to and from Butterfield to Senita. I wanted my child to walk to the school, however I also understand them not wanting to add a crosswalk to such a major street. I honestly don't think the time of day the kids go to school it would be logical for kids or the crossing guard to be in the middle of Honeycutt. I see cars passing the bus when the stop sign is out. I can just see a car not stopping with all the kids and the crossing guard in the street. If they didn't offer busing to and from the school into Senita they'd HAVE to have a cross walk to cross the street. But that is the reasoning for having the bus.

The ceremony at Saddleback was alos kinda long for a room full of kids! I could barely hear seeing as understandably all the kids were getting impatiant....

We need a cross walk or crossing guard at the entrance to senita!! There is going to be to many kids walking home with family members or buy themselves!! I hope we dont need an accident to happen to get something done!! Paying for a bus to go acroos the street to senita is a waist of our tax dollars. A part time crossing guard or light has to be cheaper!!
