Alert | As of this morning, 38 people have signed up to donate blood on July 19th.
United Blood Services is hoping to get 60 pints of blood donated that day, which means that we need more than 60 people showing up. My experience has been that people get rejected for various reasons such as they have a cold, their blood pressure is too high or too low, or they have been to some places outside the United States, that disqualifies them. If you have been to Rocky Point Mexico, that doesn't disqualify you.
If you can't give blood, can you let others know about this drive.
The summer months are the hardest times for UBS. They need blood the most during the summer, and people are reluctant to donate during the summer.
UBS recommends that you eat before you donate, and drink plenty of liquids (non-alcoholic) before and after you donate. | | | |

Alert | Actually Chelby, we just came in to eat. But, then I remembered that you donated in the past. So, when your hubby stopped to say Hi, I figured I would ask for "More blood". Thanks for being loyal, and remember us the next time we are looking for donors. Enjoy the birthday party.

Alert | Thank you to all of you who showed up to donate on Saturday. We received credit for 55 pints of blood. I was told that July is the month in which blood is in most need. So, hopefully, in our next blood drive, which I think is in November, we can get more donors.
