Alert | What the hell is with this arrogant idiot? Is there any person on this board, democrat or republican, that isn't surprised by the way Obama is acting like he already won the vote? First he refuses to swear in on a bible, instead he uses a koran, next he refuses to wear a flag pin on his suits, NOW he has the AMERICAN flag removed from his plane? Before anyone thinks I am making this up, read the snopes page: http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/airplane.asp What about refusing to put his hand over his heart during the national anthem? http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/anthem.asp Bottom line is the media is treating this potential president with baby gloves. I was watching clips of the View on Youtube and only Elizabeth is calling on anything. That idiot Joy should be taken out back and waterboarded. He has made so many mistakes and spoken so poorly he rivals George W. Bush with a teleprompter. WHY THE HELL ARE PEOPLE PLANNING TO VOTE FOR HIM? Give me ONE good reason besides he is a change from a white President. Anyone?

Alert | McCain is the one with the "free ticket" NO ONE is there to scrutinize what he does. He can do no wrong. Obama gets all the negative press.
Who gives a rats tail about a silly flag on a plane anyway? If you guys are complaining about him flying around like he's the president, you should be pleased to know that he doesn't have a flag.
I'm voting for Obama because I know what good he did for Chicago and hope he can do the same quality work for our country.
Give me ONE good reason why anyone would vote for McCain. Who runs the Snopes website anyway? How does one know if all this information is credible? | | "Everything for everyone and nothing for ourselves"

Uh, he's not Barack Hussein Obama. That's really about it. I trust neither of them and can't find my way to voting any party. So, the lessor of the evils might just be McCain. Yeah we're in a hurt locker with what we have to vote for. "CHANGE!!!!, Obama's battle cry. Heard that one far too many times in presidential elections, we changed from one jerk to the next, that's about it. Voted for "change", got changed real bad!

Alert | Silly flag? Yikes, is that how all of you left-wingers feel about the US flag? I guess that is why you find it so easy to burn and mock.
What has Obama done for Chicago besides warmed to some of its shady residents? Seriously, he is a JUNIOR senator that misses more votes than he makes. Look it up, maybe he has some information about it near his summer concert tour?
I really do like the fact that you side-stepped my question and couldn't answer it....LOL.
Why vote for McCain? So many issues... lets start with energy. McCain wants off-shore drilling and wants to build 45 new nuclear power plants by 2030. What does Obama want besides higher taxes?

You want to know why we are hated? Because we didn't bend over, take it and then thank them. And yes, this really is a time to be proud of America! You're not proud of America because we aren't liked by a few other countries? Is that what is important? Being liked? NO! It's doing the right thing. It's having character. That's what's important.

Alert | WOW!!
Is this really what the Neo-Cons are hanging their hat on??
1. Obama was sworn into the House with his hand on the Bible. Right-wing propoganda. Not true.
2. Refused to wear an American Flag lapel. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D0c9TfbRIgE) Link to McCain speech--he's not wearing a pin. What is it with THAT arrogant idiiot?
3. No flag on the tail of his plane? (http://www.flickr.com/photos/jyew/2195166475/) Pic of McCain's Straight Talk Express. No flag....Oh no. He hates America!!!!
5, I guess it's American to continuously vote against our veterans. In that case, McCain is the most patriotic candidate ever!!!
Why Obama? First, he is not McCain. He votes in the interest of our veterans. He obviously can work in a bi-partisan relationship (his recent trip with Hagel). I agree with his policy of focusing on Afghanistan. He opposed the invasion of Iraq from the beginning. Obama will stop giving tax breaks to companies that ship jobs overseas. I agree with his plan, at least more than McCain's, to work on the immigration problem. He believes that America's school need to refocus on math and science...I agree. I could go on and on. My views fit his platform more than they match with McCain's.

Do you hate people that much?
Left wingers hate the Amercian flag? What an arrogant statement!!
Can't two sides agree to disagree? I have witnessed plenty of right-wingers burning the flag, saying that our servicemen deserved to die because we allow gays in the country, etc...
While I think that they are nut-jobs, I would never generalize all right-wingers as feeling that way about America. I can accept that right-wingers think differently then me. I am sure that they love the country just as much as me, but have differences of opinion. I guess my acceptance is what makes me a liberal.

Misses more votes than he makes??
McCain is actually the one that misses more than he makes. blog.washingtonpost.com/.../04/mccain_most_absentee_08_senato.html
WASHINGTON, July 10 (UPI) -- Sen. Barack Obama left campaigning behind 12 times for roll call votes in the U.S. Senate while Sen. John McCain showed up for six, vote tallies indicate.
McCain, the presumptive Republican candidate, cast 36 of the Senate's 169 votes this session, while his likely Democratic challenger cast 70, a USA Today analysis showed.

Looks like Obama was present more than McCain. He'd have proof too since 90% of the votes he cast were simply, "present." Not very impressive. | | Freedom is not free, but the U.S. Marine Corps will pay most of your share. - Ned Dolan

Alert | Where is the hate? Oh, you don't like what I am saying so you think I hate. So tell me skippy, what exactly do you think calling me a neo-con is?
By the way, you like links? Here is Obama's: http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/11/02/obama.missed.votes/
Making less than 1/4 of the votes? Imagine if he was a senior senator?
So what has he done for Chicago? Did I miss that?

Alert | Okay Chief-- Obama is an arrogant idiot. Kennedy deserves a few painful years. You say that people post "retarded" things. You say that most people on the left are idiots. Yeah, you don't hate anyone. Don't sweat it, I don't have tolerance for idiot either. Just because someone is on the right, I don't think they are an idiot though.
Neo-con is short for someone that is a believer in the neoconservatism movement. Does that phrase bother you? If so, please tell me, I will refrain from using it.
I am not arguing the fact that Obama misses votes. It seems like a reason you are not voting for him so I am simply pointing to the fact that McCain misses more.
As far as what he has done for Chicago, I am unsure. I am not from there and am not one of his constituents, are you? Obama crushed Hillary in the primary, so I assume that most people from Illinois think highly of him. I want a PUS that has a high rating among his constituents. If Illinois gives any hint, I think the shoe may fit Obama.
Anyone care to answer the questions I had about McCain's voting record recently when it comes to veteran's?

Alert | OMG, So i googled Hyde park and it is about Mr. Obama's neighborhood. Damn, they talk about a neighbornamed William Ayers, I mean were you taunting me to find that? The neighbor is a WEATHERMAN (For you liberals that means terrorist)\, and not in the meteorologist kind of way. So besides the unibomber kind of neighbor, your point is that he LIVES in a normal neighborhood? HELLO? Who cares about that? Or was there something else that you picked up from google that I didn't? Seriously, do you think he did a Dark Knight (No pun intended) thing and cleaned out the place before he moved in?

Alert | Kenmore, I read huff, huff, babble, babble, something about Kennedy, what did that mean by the way?
If you don't know what he did in Chicago, then please take a puff of your inhaler and tell us what he did in the Senate. I'll wait.

Alert | Okay; Take a puff of my inhaler. What are you 5? As I posted earlier, his Senate voting record is more comparible to my views than is McCain's. I believe that our vets deserve the best care and our soldiers deserve the best equiptment.
Tell us what he did in the Senate? You are the only one that wants the information. I am not posting on here to educate you. I trust that you have the ability to do your own research. I answered your original post.
Not that I care, but do you care to respond to my question about McCain's voting record when it comes to our vets?

I am the only one that wants that information? Are you on crack? He rose to this position through the senate... what did he DO in the senate, besides speaking so well?
Come on, you aren't this stupid. What did he DO do deserve to be here? And you did NOT answer my original post. What has he DONE for veterans, besides blown them off for a game of hoops?
